Collecting, storing & using rainwater

To save money and natural resources, the mains water will not be switched on this year until we have done all we can to collect, store and use the free water from the clouds. 

Step 1: We've bought some butts, pipes and gutters.

Step 3: Adapt the ideal to make it real:
We might want to achieve  something like this?
This needs a turn piece at the top creating a slope for a straight piece,  and a second turn piece into the butt.

​The filler kits look to be for a domestic system of rainwater diversion from a downpipe connected to a drain. 

​They could perhaps be used to balance a multi butt system.
