I had some experience of WWOOF (World Wide Opportunities on Organic Farms) in the UK before Ian and I spent a couple of months as the oldest WWOOFERS in New Zealand.  At home in Walthamstow we have hosted visitors from all over the world through HelpX, and that's how we found people from China who helped us prepare for our trip in 2018.
